This is the approved pre-requisite in order for you to gain your General Managers Certificate. You will receive recent and relevant training as set out in the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

Course Overview

If you want to gain a General Manager’s Certificate you need your Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ).
The Licence Controller Qualification is the approved prerequisite in order for you to gain you General Managers Certificate. It demonstrates that you have received recent and relevant training as set out in The Sale and Supply of Liquor Act 2012 and subsequent amendments.
You will gain the following unit standards:
• 16705 – Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises.
• 4646 – Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed premises.
Note: PBRS cannot guarantee the approval of a General Managers Certificate as it is issued by the local authority.
